Policies
Payment Terms: We only accept payment via credit/debit cards using our payment processor's invoice system or our terminal at the point of sale. We do not accept cash, money orders, cashier's checks or any other checks.
All orders at or under $150 must be paid in full at time the order is placed, and is non-refundable unless due to a cancellation or error on our part.
Anything over $150, a minimum $150 or 50% (whichever is greater) non-refundable retainer is required to book your date/event. Balance is due in full 2 weeks prior to your delivery/event date. All funds are non-refundable once paid, unless we have to cancel or made an error.
Delivery is required, and will be part of your quote. We currently only service onsite cupcake bars for your events, with the exception of DIY cupcake bar kits or Frost A Top items. Those items only are allowed to be picked up. Please note, once the item(s) are in your possession, we are no longer liable for any damage caused by you transporting the order from our location to where your event will take place. We can still deliver the smaller DIY kits and Frost A Top kits if you prefer, for a fee.
A contract for large orders will be sent along with your invoice. Contract must be signed, and invoice paid to be considered booked. Any changes to the original invoice must be requested no less than 30 days prior to original event date. Any and all changes will require a new quote, invoice, and contract. We prefer orders 60 days ahead of events to be able to make sure all changes, if any are done in a timely manner. We can accept orders up to 6 months prior to your event. We may be able to accommodate rush orders (less than 30 days prior notice), however there are additional fees. We can only guarantee your preferred date of event/delivery once your contract is signed and retainer invoice is paid.
On smaller items ($150 & under) your payment is your agreement to abide by the policies of The Choosy Cupcake.
If payment not received for balance due 2 weeks prior to your event/delivery date, your order will be cancelled due to non-payment (this does not qualify as a refundable cancellation on our part). There are times we can reinstate your contract/order, however an additional fee may be charged at The Choosy Cupcake's discretion. We will not chase you for your payment. You will receive a cancellation notice via email & text once.
Our quotes/fees are non-negotiable. Do not disrespect the business by asking for free or discounted items. We do not do sponsorships, or trades with social media influencers. We give to charities annually, and work with a specific cake gifting organization: For Goodness Cakes/Washington Division/Seattle Sprinkle Squad.
In regard to Intellectual Property: The Choosy Cupcake will not copy or reproduce any trademarked or copyrighted entity, nor will we copy exactly any picture you provide for inspiration, unless it is a cupcake/cake we personally designed for a previous customer.
Pick-up & Delivery Terms: Pick-up times and Delivery times scheduled must be adhered to as booked. Items not collected in a timely manner will be disposed of or donated to a charity of our choosing.
Deliveries and pick-up times are based on our schedule availability. Please be punctual. While we do understand that sometimes things happen, you must notify us of your request to reschedule at least 24 hours prior to your delivery/pickup window. If no notice, or less than 24 hours there is no refund or credit allowed. If you notify us 24 hours or more prior to your delivery/pickup window, and we cannot accommodate your request due to scheduling conflicts, we will issue a store credit.
Refund Policy: No refunds or store credit allowed except as specified in the above terms. If you submit a charge back on your credit or bank card, we will pursue legal action against you for theft of goods.
Rush fees: There are times when we can accommodate a last minute order, however payment will be due in full at time order is placed regardless of amount. Further, a rush fee of 20% (minimum $35) will be charged and must be paid with order total.
NO COD (cash or payment on delivery/pick-up) ACCEPTED!
